Dr. Sophia Newcomer presented at the 6th Annual Meeting of the Mountain West Clinical and Translational Infrastructure Network (CTR-IN) in Las Vegas, NV on June 10-11, 2019. Dr. Newcomer is one of ten pilot grant awardees across the 13 institution, 7 state Mountain West network. Her research project, ‘Bridging the rural-urban disparity: a mixed-methods analysis of human papillomavirus vaccine uptake in 勛圖厙,’ includes a partnership with the state’s 勛圖厙 Immunization Program and pediatric healthcare providers. 勛圖厙, and rural communities in particular, fall short of the Health People 2020 goals for adolescent HPV vaccination.
